This work was an exploration into sacred geometry as part of a commission. The pieces are primarily contructed from barley straw with flax fibres adding additional texture. The wet pulp is individually laid on screens then layered together, five deep, at the dry construction stage. The layering provides depth and texture and the finished work is framed in one metre square acrylic cases.
