I work with plant fibre to produce sculptural artwork. and originally studied paper making in Japan.
Over the past couple of years I have created work for clients in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Greece, the Middle East and Japan.
I am passionate about the creative potential of plant fibre pulps and I use this exclusively in my work, which is ecologically ethical and sustainable. I use a combination of traditional Japanese techniques as well as processes which I have developed through my practice. The fibre pulp can be smooth or richly textured and dyed to any colour or tone, providing the most subtle graduations of tonal variation.
I have a long experience of studio-based practice, of exhibiting and of working for contract clients.
